Mr. Ajay Roy(Aj) is the Founder of Rhythmix The Dance Studio, Guwahati (Assam now also works in Delhi). He is the pioneer in introducing Western Classical Dance especially Salsa and Hip-Hop in North Eastern part of India in the year 2001.When he got trained in one of the best and the largest Performing Arts center in Eastern India named "Padatik’s Dance World" located in Kolkata, he is also trained in Delhi under the guidance of Internationally acclaimed choreographer Mr. Gilles Chuyen from France and also did some part of his training in Bangalore. Aj worked as a trainer/choreographer in "Padatik's Dance World", Kolkata. He started his Professional Dance career in 2001, since then he has been instructing students in many parts of the country especially North Eastern India by the medium of Workshop and Classes. He has conducted many workshops in Kolkata, Guwahati, Mizoram, Imphal and Itanagar, NIT Jalandhar, Delhi, Noida, Gurgaon. Aj along with his troop and students have performed in many places like Shimla, Delhi, Kolkata, North Bengal, Jorhat, Duliajan, Alipurdwar etc...He has worked with some of the international level choreographers for the “National Games Opening Ceremony at Guwahati". Aj frequently conducts auditions to bring in light the hidden talents of the region and helps them to express themselves through the medium of dance. Aj has helped students and teachers to fight obesity with the help of dance and aerobics which he names as “Danceaerobics” in top most school of India, Delhi Public School Guwahati, Gems National Public School, and Don Bosco English High School. He has also trained students of different schools for the dance reality show named “Schoolwiz”. Aj also choreographed for Eclectic Mega Model Hunt on its launch. His specialization is in Salsa L.A and Hip-Hop with also dance forms like Jazz, Contemporary, Bollywood jazz n many more. With this he had successfully conducted several workshops and classes in different parts of India; he is one of the best performer on stage. In 2010 he had conducted workshops and shows in places like NIT Jalandhar, and Assam Engineering College etc. He has also performed at the Embassy of Switzerland, Delhi in the presence of Bollywood celebrities like Deepika Padukone and Producer/Director Mr. Yash Copra, managed by Teamworks Production Pvt.Ltd and choreographed by Mr. Gilles Chuyen. Also choreographed few sequences for the closing ceremony of sports day of Air Force BAL Bharti School, Lodhi Road, Delhi and for Multinational Companies like Comviva, Gurgaon and Nucleus Software, Noida. While in Delhi he has been hired by dance companies like the Delhi Dance Academy and train its students. Hes has also got the privilege to work with dance companies like Studio Magenta, Delhi and with Event Management Companies like Team works Productions Pvt.Ltd, Delhi and Wiz craft Entertainment Pvt.Ltd,Mumbai. He was also trainer of new fitness program Zumba and Salsa shines at the worlds most prestigious Gold’s Gym at Noida and Indrapuram. Now being a national level dance trainer Aj has also recently entered the international arena by training candidates from different parts of the world like New York, South America, Australia, Canada, Iran, Kazakistan, etc... According to him,” This is just the begining,there is still lots left to be explored and achieved". He is a Instructor who provide you with a conspicuous platform to learn the intricacies of different forms, traits and styles of dance; once you shed your inhibitions, throw your cares and worries to the wind and dance to the rhythm of music to glory.
